MYM Teen Night, a series started last year, is having a kickoff event for this year at the Fridley Zone on May 02nd at 6:00pm. Come attend the Teen Night kick-off party: What: MYM Teen Night at the Zone Who: Ages 10 and up When: Saturday May 2nd at 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm Where: Fridley Community Center
“Teen Night” will start in May and includes a 30-minute “Halaqateen” (study circle) followed by a basketball league. Boys are scheduled for the first & third Fridays of the month, while the girls have Teen Night the second and fourth Fridays of the month. The program starts at 6:30 PM. Interested? click here

MYM has reserved some dates for the rest of year to volunteer at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) as part of a community service and awareness project. We have limited spots for this year so please sign up with your children to assist in this effort.

At FMSC, as we package meals for the world's hungriest children we hope to discover a deep sense of service and community. According to FMSC, volunteers often are surprised at the number of meals they are able to pack in a short time, realizing that each meal feeds a child for a day. In 2008 volunteers packed 73.6 million meals that were distributed in over 45 countries!

We invite artists of all kind to come and perform: dancers, singers, actors, comedians, poetry and much more!
The Talent Show will be held on Friday May 29, 2009 at 6 p.m. Performers get in FREE!!

American Muslims: Defining Ourselves A Struggle for Identity and Empowerment Saturday, August 01st - Saturday, August 08th 2009 Leadership Workshops, Media Training, Speech Competition, Basketball, Soccer, Swimming, Canoeing, Camp Fire and much more…
The purpose of the week-long summer camp is to enrich and strengthen the hearts, minds and bodies of our youth in a safe and healthy environment in which they can associate with their Muslim brothers and sisters. This will be achieved through educational activities, spiritual reflection and teamwork.
The camp is an opportunity to give the youth self-confidence to realize their potential and become a contributing member of the communities they live in.

The 3rd Annual Party foR Only Muslimahs, a positive alternative to high school prom, will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2009 from 6:00pm – 10:00pm. It will be held in the Great Hall in the Coffman Memorial Union on the University of Minnesota campus.
This year’s theme is “The City That Never Sleeps” The event is for sisters ages 12 and up only and includes dinner, talent show, Miss Muslimah Contest, and more. The attire is formal.
